PRIVATE TOUR
It is amazing to hike in Iceland and hiking in Reykjadalur (Steam Valley) will give you a hiking experience that you won’t forget. Reykjadalur (Steam Valley) is a geothermal area as the name implies and a popular hiking route only about 40 minutes drive from Reykjavik. Not only will you get a lovely hiking day but you can dip into one of the warm rivers that run through the valley. This half a day tour is suitable for the whole family but please contact us regarding younger participants.
We at Adventure Vikings will pick you up at your hotel or nearest bus stop and drive you towards the valley. Then we hike through the geothermal area and end up by the warm river where you can have a swim. This is a unique experience as you can relax there quietly with the nature surrounding you. Note that there are no dressing rooms or showers, only pure nature for you to enjoy.

Duration: 4-5 hours
Note: In winter time, during the darkest hours, some sightings might be missed.
Prerequisites: There is no prerequisites but you need to be able to hike uphill for about an hour.

What to bring
We will bring crampons when needed, you will however have to bring:
- Good hiking boots
- Wind and rainproof jacket, suitable for hiking.
- Warm clothing
- Swimsuit
