Silfra Fissure Snorkeling

Discover the hidden gem of Iceland’s underwater world with our exclusive private snorkeling tour in the mesmerizing Silfra Fissure. Nestled within the heart of Thingvellir National Park, Silfra offers an extraordinary opportunity to immerse yourself in crystal-clear glacial waters and witness the stunning geological wonders that lie beneath the surface.

Incredible visibility and views

Embark on an adventure like no other as our expert guides lead you on a personalized snorkeling journey through the Silfra Fissure. This otherworldly experience allows you to snorkel between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, making it the only place on Earth where you can touch two continents at once. The water’s remarkable clarity, boasting visibility of up to 100 meters, offers an unparalleled view of the awe-inspiring underwater landscapes.

Private Tour Advantage

Unlike group tours, our private snorkeling experience ensures you get the undivided attention of our certified guides. Whether you’re an experienced snorkeler or a first-timer, we guarantee a safe and unforgettable adventure. Each guide can take up to 6 participant into the water – choose between a wet- or drysuit for your ultimate Silfra experience.

Safety First

Your safety is our top priority. We provide top-of-the-line snorkeling gear and wetsuits to keep you warm and comfortable throughout the tour. Our certified guides are extensively trained in water safety and first aid, ensuring a worry-free and secure exploration of the Silfra Fissure.

Respect for Nature

As advocates of sustainable tourism, we are committed to preserving the pristine beauty of Silfra and its surrounding environment. We adhere to strict eco-friendly practices and leave no trace behind, allowing future generations to enjoy this remarkable natural wonder.

Booking and Availability

To ensure an exclusive and tailored experience, we recommend booking your private snorkeling tour in advance. Our tours are available throughout the year, providing an opportunity to witness the beauty of Silfra in every season.

Dry- and wetsuit snorkeling

Snorkeling in 2-4 degree Celsius (35-degree Fahrenheit) water may sound daunting, but fear not! Our premium drysuits ensure that you stay completely dry and warm throughout the expedition. The combination of a thermal undergarment and the protection of the drysuit guarantees ultimate comfort, allowing you to fully focus on the mesmerizing beauty that surrounds you.

For our more daring and adventurous participants seeking an up-close and personal encounter with Silfra, we recommend snorkeling in a wetsuit. The wetsuit offers greater mobility, giving you the freedom to dive a little beneath the surface and explore the wonders of Silfra’s underwater landscapes. Feel the exhilaration as you become one with the pristine waters and connect intimately with the geological marvels beneath.

Not sure on which suit to go with? Take a look at our blog post wetsuit vs. drysuit to help you decide.
