Have a lovely day in Iceland by caving and horseback riding in the unique Icelandic nature.


The horse riding will take place at the friendly family horse rental Sólhestar where you’ll ride on the Icelandic horse which has five gaits.  In this tour you will enjoy the Icelandic nature at the same time you are getting to know these small friendly horses. After the riding tour you will be dropped off in Reykjavik for your next pick up. 


The cave we will visit is called Leiðarendi. The 900 meter long lava tube offers unique rock formations, such as stalactites and shelves. Some light crawling may be required yet Leiðarendi cave has a rather easy access to the underworld wonders of the Icelandic lava fields.

Horseback-riding – Pick up from 9:00-9:30

Summer (March-Oct)
Leiðarendi-cave – Pick up from 12:45-13:15

Winter (Nov-Feb)
Leiðarendi-cave – Pick up from 13:45-14:15

Total Duration:
Riding 2,5-3 hours (1,5-2 hrs riding)
Caving 2-3 hours (1-1,5 hrs in the cave)

Prerequisites:

  • Not be pregnant

Minimum participants: 2 participants

Maximum participants: 8 participants

What to bring

We will provide you with all necessary gear required for caving and horse riding. You will however have to bring:

  • Warm clothes to wear in the cave and during your horseback ride
  • Water resistant outer layer as it can be wet inside the cave
  • Good hiking shoes
  • Lunch or Snack for in between tours – in some cases we have time to make a quick stop
  • Camera
